PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
I bought an Eddie George Jersey in '95, my junior year. Still wear it faithfully, and is in relatively good shape through careful washing.
I have an AJ Hawk and a Chris Speilman jersey. Hope to get more.
2. Home and away.
#2 and #35
Two blondes were driving to Disneyland. The sign said: Disneyland Left... So they started crying and headed home.
Jerry Rudzinski. Nice!
(I'm assuming it's Wilhelm?)
I have 3.
George, Hawk, and Spielman. My wife has Troy Smith.
James Laurinaitis #33 (Home)
While Ohio State's players hurdled the brick walls of Michigan Stadium in their throwback uniforms to celebrate with Buckeye fans, Michigan tailback Michael Shaw sobbed uncontrollably while walking off the field. - Grand Rapid Press (21-10 OSU)<
THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!
Since you have a home jersey, maybe this is a more appropriate (albeit rose-less) pic:
I have 1 (Hawk), but I particularly like how this question doesn't offer 0 as a response.
It does offer none?
It didn't at first.

#59 game worn jersey my uncle got for me...had to do some research but it was worn in 2005 by john conroy
#12 dane, bought it for my fiancee but it was too big for her
The old buy a jersey for my fiancee that's too big, so I guess I have to wear it trick!
John Conroy lived on my floor in the dorms, was a great guy. Got a fair amount of playing time on the O-line for special teams his Sr (2005) year.
I think I'm right around 20 or so; I buy a new one or two every year depending on the new numbers available.
I only make it to one, maybe two (if I'm lucky) games a year, and I don't wear jerseys otherwise. I therefore only need one. So of course it is Archie.
#47, #7 (at the time were Hawk and Ginn)
#2, #13 (when purchased: Pryor and Clarett)
I love Mo C but don't forget Damon Moore wore #13!
The South will NOT rise again!
I had forgotten. I feel shame.
I have one home and one away.
I have a Beanie (home) and Saine (away). I bought them both after a basketball game because it was the off season and they were "last years" jerseys. I got them for a steal.

#2 Mike Doss with the old gray sleeves. I object when people think it is Pryor (even though I have forgiven him.) I just love Mike Doss.
#27 George. Looks authentic with the big numbers. Awesome jersey but I am pretty sure it was made in China or some such place. E-Bay purchase.
#36 Spielman. Nike Legends. Bought it just before Stephanie passed. It still has a pink ribbon on it.

1. Chris Spielman throwback. I wear it once a year for The Game.
I have a #40 George Reese basketball jersey, and a #10 Fiesta Bowl edition jersey (Troy Smith). Got the #40 when I was in 7th grade....and it still fits. Not sure if that is a commentary on how fat I was in middle school, or how slim I am not. (P.S. Nobody would ever refer to me...as slim.)
Edit: So after finally waking up 4 hours later even though I have been at work the whole time, I realize that the question was how many FOOTBALL jerseys do I own. As you can see above, I own 1, but that doesn't make the George Reese #40 jersey any less awesome.

#2 latest iteration of the jersey and a #27 with gray stripes on the sleeves
#80 home (Robiskie)
#11 away (Stoneburner)
I have a single #85 jersey.

easy there hamstray, er I mean Homestar
I can't imagine any of those records going down as the combination of great kicker and kick-loving coach were perfect.
The Fetching Mrs. Vance is a huge Steelers fan, so I married into that cult - when she decided it was time for me to have a jersey, however, I insisted that it be Cameron Heyward's. Figured I'd at least keep it in the Buckeye family that way.
What can I say, we all have our cross to bear, right?
That would be like marrying into a scUM family and wearing a Tim Biakabatuka jersey. It's time to raise your standards sir!
No, it wouldn't be like that at all. Nothing would be that bad - ever.
I have a hard time understanding how people that grew up in Ohio like teams from other states, especially in baseball and football, unless you have family from out of state that bred you to like a certain team. I've lived in the Columbus area for most of my life and I'm a Browns fan, unfortunately, and a Cavs fan, and I follow the Tribe, and I bleed scarlet and gray even though I played ball for another school. But through and through, I'm a Red Sox fan but I have family that played for them so it's kind of engrained.
In my case, I grew up watching the Bengals (and I'm still a Reds fan, so I have that going for me), but we were definitely an Ohio State family more so than a Bengals family. I still prefer to watch college sports (we don't watch the NBA at all, really), but Mrs. Vance was a die-hard Steeler - since I wasn't foaming at the mouth to root for either the Bengals or the Browns, it wasn't that much of a stretch to root for the Steelers - they have a lot of qualities that I like in a team. Hard-nosed, blue-collar, rely on defense - The Venerable Dick LeBeau is a frickin' stud (and he's from London, Ohio).
I get your point, though. I never root against the Bengals, and I want them to do well, but you know what they say: Happy wife, happy life.
No "zero" option? While I love my Buckeye t-shirts/sweatshirts/etc., I have no desire or see any need to buy/wear a jersey. To each his/her own, I guess.
Yeah, I've never really understood it, either. But hey, agreed: to each his/her own.
Added. Our bad on that.
I am an adult and therefore I own zero sports jerseys.
I also own zero sports jerseys because I don't want to be this guy:
just another psycho, irrational, delusional Ohio St fan
Because owning a jersey makes you just like Nevin Shapiro? Yeah, ok.
We should strive to keep thy name, of fair repute and spotless fame...
(Also, I'm not a dude)
No, but wearing a Braxton Miller jersey at 40 is not a good look. A polo would be the much better option or maybe a jacket like many of the coaches wear.
"You'll be proud of our young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan on the football field."
To each their own, everyone had their preference of game day attire but passive aggressively insulting anyone who does own a jersey isn't a good look either.
The point of the photo is that we have a grown man wearing the name of a 19 year old on his back. It is not for me, that is all.
Amen. I hate to generalize, but jerseys kinda scream, "hey, man, I never really played football but I like pretending - and oh, yeah, this covers my man boobs perfectly!"
Agree 100%. Although I like when (hot) women wear jerseys.
I gave my Troy Smith Jersey to my little brother. At the moment I'm rocking my Beanie Wells #28 away jersey. I'm in the market for a new home jersey though and those Nike twills look pretty sweet. If only I could decide on a number.....
# 10 Troy Smith
# 2 TPryor
Only 1 (33, James Laurinaitis at purchase time). I refuse to buy the screen printed jersey because I'm afraid the numbers are going to wash off. I wanted to buy a Braxton (home) and Shazier (away) before the season last year, but everywhere I looked only had screen printed.
I'll be in Columbus Sept 9th-11th and I'm hoping I can find those two down there since it will be right at the start of the season. Gonna do my best to get up to three by the end of the year.
I am going to make a confession, and I hope nobody loses respect for me.
I own 11 OSU jerseys - 9 football, 2 basketball. I also own several jerseys of other pro sports teams, including a LeBron Cavs jersey that I did not burn.
People have hobbies or things that they collect. Mine happens to be sports jerseys.
Class of 2010.
I wonder what percentage of the idiots that did burn his Cavs jersey will buy a new one if he "comes homes" after next season? Glad you kept yours.
We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan, we're from O-HI-O!
I wanted to burn it, but figured why do that - if the dude is going to spurn my team, then I'll sell his jersey on eBay and make a few bucks off of his decision. I haven't gotten around to selling it, though, and may not if he comes back. Though, honestly, I seriously doubt that he's coming back.
I have never been a jersey guy, but in the past, I wore (2). In college I had a "41" Keith Byars. although I went to school after Keith left, it was a popular jersey. Having not worn one since then, I asked of my site for Christmas and gave AJ Hawk the "honor" of asking for his "47". AJ earned that "honor" with his play of wreckless abandon. He also sacked Brady Quinn twice while banging his sister! My buddy recently found a really nice away #2 jersey on sale and got it for me. I figured it was good for C Bryant / Rod Smith, or back to some greats like Cris Carter, Malcom Jenkins, Mike Doss, or TP. The #47 and #2 hang in my rec room.
The only one I own belongs to my two year old son. I am not a jersey type of guy myself. I stick to tee-shirts, hoodies, and polos to show my fandom.
Zero jerseys for me, though I did sport a rather fetching gray Nike sweater vest the latter years of my OSU experience. My rationale: The guys who wear the jerseys change, the head coach stays the same.
Home - #28 Beanie Wells
Away - #33 James Laurinaitis
35 hours to Pasadena! Go Bucks!
Home #2. Recv'd it as a gift when TP was here.
I bought a Mo' C Home #13 back in '02. I think my friend has it, I let him borrow it a few years after I bought it. I also had a grey (Nike jersey w/ printed-on number) #8 (Bellisari) back when I was a soph/junior in high school.
I just realized all the players' jerseys I've owned have all been ridiculed by the fan base at some point in their OSU career.
Maybe I shouldn't buy a #5 jersey.
#2 and a signed Troy Smith. I don't wear that one to keep it out of harms way.
I have too many to count
Off the top of my head I have #2, #47, #10, #5 I can't remember all of them lol
#47 - AJ - hangs on the wall in the basement. May wear it for my sports day at work in Sep...
A #27, a #5 (Michael Wiley) and a custom #42....my number from (way) back in the day.
"Success - it's what you do with what you got" - Woody Hayes
I have a #10, #33, AJ Hawk #47, and a recently purchased #5
#3 and #36. I want to get some more.
0 -> I'm an adult...
I Just bought a Nike Pro Combat Braxton Miller from last years game.....woohoo
Home Scarlet #45 Archie Griffin "Legends of the Shoe" jersey and a white #5 Michael Wiley jersey.
Way too many. Several replicas but my favorites are my game worns. Favorite football is my 1995 Jamie Sumner home jersey, starting offensive lineman from Eddies Heisman year. Watched the 314 game against Illinois a while back and you can see some of the buck marks on the shoulders during the close up huddle shots. Also my 2001 Darrion Scott that I wore to every game home and away in 2002, and Mike Bennetts home jersey from his freshman year. Also have about 20 or so game worn OSU hockey jerseys, at least 1 per year dating back to the mid 90's. These are a few of them.
Sweet lineup! But, what's up with the blue and lavender hangers?
#7 Ginn Fiesta Bowl Jersey
OSU Baseball Jersey
OSU Hockey Jersey
"Because I couldn't go for 3"
I always go for #7, so I have a cheap #7 home and away and a nicer set of home and away #7 jerseys.
