For the second consecutive season, the Ohio State women's hoops team will face a daunting non-conference slate. The Buckeyes are scheduled to take on the defending national champion Connecticut Huskies, and perennial powerhouse South Carolina as well as two other opponents from Power 5 conferences.

The Buckeyes open their season at home with a rematch against South Carolina, who finished last season ranked No. 3. In last year's opener, the Gamecocks downed Ohio State 88-80 in a back-and-forth heavyweight thriller. Now with even more firepower, Ohio State will look for revenge on its home court.

Ohio State plays its next two games at home before heading to the Gulf Coast Showdown as part of a loaded field that includes four teams ranked in last season's top-20 (No. 4 Baylor, No. 9 Ohio State, No. 14 Syracuse, No. 20 DePaul). The Buckeyes then play host to Miami, who finished last season ranked No. 19, in the Big Ten/ACC Showdown.

After a small respite of four consecutive unranked teams at home, Ohio State travels to face four-time defending NCAA Champion Connecticut on the road. The Buckeyes were embarrassed by the Huskies last season, falling 100-56 at home, and will look for revenge as well as a statement win to close out their non-conference slate.
