The fourth time should be the charm for Pickerington Central star defensive tackle Da'Von Hamilton, who committed to Ohio State on the heels of his official visit this weekend. At one time committed to Ohio, and then to Pittsburgh, Hamilton was most recently committed to the University of Kentucky but couldn't resist the lure of playing for his hometown school.

The Hamilton File

  • Class 2015
  • Position DT
  • Size 6-3/285
  • School Central (Pickerington, OH)
  • Composite Rank ★★★ No. 81 (DT)

The 6-foot-3, 285 pound Hamilton is the country's 88th-ranked defensive tackle becomes Ohio State's 25th commitment in their highly-ranked 2015 class and the second pure defensive tackle in the class, joining Wayne's Robert Landers. Hamilton visited Ohio State in late November as the Buckeyes took on Michigan, but left that weekend without an offer and it appeared that would be the last of the discussion between he and Ohio State. It was not until the middle of last week, days before he would visit officially, that things ramped back up.

"We've always liked Hamilton's game," a source at Ohio State shared. "We just had to evaluate closely and make sure that the numbers would work out before offered. He's a talented kid and we think he's a guy who will embrace the grind and the program."

Eleven Warriors will have more on Hamilton's commitment soon, so please check back soon.
