When the Browns see that all their quarterbacks, including the one they just drafted, are garbage, Barkley could still end up looking good in a Browns uniform. If they have the top overall pick, they'd be crazy not to take him.
I think he throws some bad picks, but the guy has a cannon and clearly played in an offense that prepared him to read defenses. This isn't Graham Harrell. He has a huge arm.
Most analysts agreed that if Weeden wasn't prime for retirement in a few years he'd be a top 5 pick himself. I liked what I saw out of Weeden and the OKSt. offense last year. I thought he looked as good as any QB I watched. He's just...old. I'm interested to see what he can do now.
I'm pretty anti-Weeden myself but I'm more against him currently as a first round QB based on what I personally think about first round QB's and what they should be to a team. The guy is not garbage by any stretch, he's just getting a start later in life. My point is\has always been that first round QB's are supposed to be franchise changers, and a 29 year old isn't that. As far as talent goes, He's not the athlete RGIII is or the tactician Luck is but I am pretty sure he's got them beat in terms of arm strength and accuracy.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
He wouldn't have been available. It would have been him or Richardson, and I wanted Richardson really bad. The Browns will have Mack and Byner in one back. Yeah, I know. Short shelf life. And they have nothing to trade to take Barkely this year.
While that is def. possible Jason, I dunno, teams are now well aware of his ability and he will be keyed on all game/every game. Kid has skills no doubt, but Wisky has a ton of new coaches and faces on the team and I see a tremendous fall-off for Bielema's boys. Ball will be the focal point of the offense that tries to force the run way too much IMHO
If Denard Robinson isn't careful with spooning all that food into his mouth, he's going to end up lookin' like Whoopi Goldberg
I'd like if it was Ball but I said Barkley. If a RB & QB both have great years it usually goes to the QB. I hate me some Bret Bielema & Wisky but I do like Montee Ball. He's a good player & a good kid.

I don't know if it's because I respect Barkley for sticking out the bowl ban or because Urban and Kiffin are BFFs now, but I hope the golden boy wins it.

Really wish Barkely would have left for the NFL last season. Would have looked great in a Browns uniform.

Weeden=garbage based on what? Just curious.

While Barkley is the favorite, I think Lattimore could be an early darkhorse.
Land-Grant Holyland
I think a dark horse will win it this year. I choose Ball out of the listed players because I'm sure he'll put up gotti stats again.
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.

Agreed. With the departure of key players on offense, defenses can and will key in on Ball.

Ha ha real funny. Who voted for Denard? They don't give out a Heisman for most converted jumpball throws.
