I understand there are some logistical issues, but why do we load these games up a decade in advance? Wouldn't a shorter window allow for more favorable match ups? Why do we have games already penned in for like Texas and Notre Dame through damn near 2025?
My little brother was asking me this last night and I had no good answer for him. You do not need a year to plan a home and home in advance, I think it is ridiculous. It seems like Southern California and Alabama agreed to play next Labor Day like just a few months ago. I realize it is a neutral site game, but still.
Can anyone shed a little light on this? I know the answer to everything is money, just interested in exactly why it happens this way.
