UPDATE (10/7, 12:52 p.m.): Rutgers announced the reinstatement of Carroo, effectively immediately.

Suspended WR Leonte Carroo, all things considered, is a happy man right now.

From NJ.com:

NEW BRUNSWICK — The woman who was allegedly slammed to the ground by Rutgers football player Leonte Carroo in a Sept. 12 brawl outside the Hale Center has agreed to drop a request for a restraining order, and will ask the court to dismiss a simple assault charge against Carroo, according to a signed agreement.

The woman and Carroo — who is suspended from the team pending the resolution of the charge against him — appeared in Family Court Tuesday for a hearing about a request for a restraining order. Judge John Jorgensen, sitting in New Brunswick, asked the woman whether she was agreeing to lift the restraining order voluntarily. She said yes.

"I'm not scared," she said. "I don't feel it's necessary."

The ball is now in Kyle Flood's hands.

Rutgers, by the way, hired a law firm that deals exclusively with potential football program NCAA violations
