It took 24 games, but the Rutgers Scarlet Knights got their first road win in the Big Ten by defeating Penn State 70-68 in Happy Valley.

Rutgers, which has just five wins in the Big Ten since joining in 2014-15, was 0-23 on the road in conference play. The last conference win was in 2014 against South Florida, an American Athletic Conference member.

Penn State led once, at 6-5, with 17:52 left in the first half.

Penn State is also in a down year, having fallen to 12-12, but Rutgers fans likely won't care, and neither will Ohio State fans as they bask in the schadenfruede radiating from the two of the three teams in the Big Ten worse than the Buckeyes right now.
