Gordon Gee Can Tweet from the Future
Ohio State couldn't ask for a better ambassador than E. Gordon Gee. Whether he's fundraising, working to improve the institution's academic standing and research position or firing up fans for sporting events, Gee fills his days doing whatever it takes to put Ohio State first.
Thanks to this tweet, sent Monday evening, we can now add time traveling to his repertoire.
Many excited Buckeyes in the Schott tonight—including me!Ready for the men’s basketball game against Wisconsin.

Umm...
At least he played it off well:
Just seeing who was paying attention out there. Will try again tomorrow night.

Take that, fans of schools with leaders that can't travel through time!
[Our best guess? Gee uses a tweet scheduling service and mixed up a date. Or he was hammered. Which would be weird, because he's a Mormon.]

Time travel - that's why he makes the big bucks.
He should have traveled to the past and stopped Sullinger from going pro.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
The future, Conan?
Taquitos.
"In the year 2000, in the year 2000..."
He needs to retire. He has become an embarrassment.
Then color me the happiest embarrassed alumni on the planet.
Ravings about his handling of Tatgate, his colorful non sequitors and Twitterisms do not invalidate the absolutely astounding advancements made at our University under his leadership. Show me another man who can be almost universally beloved by students, can raise >$1 billion, has nearly unflagging support in the legislature, and can spearhead a major overhaul in the University's strategic plan and vision for the future, and I'd almost certainly stick with E. Gordon Gee.
As a current student, I have mixed feelings. I love that he's visible, and he's extremely cordial with his students and alumni... but I'm not sure how I feel about some of his decisions, namely the ungodly amount of construction, and the increasing tuition prices. But I do love running into him at parties, so...
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
If it's any consolation, I was an undergrad during the Brit Kirwan administration, and there was an uber-load of construction on campus then, too. Nature of the beast, alas, alas.
I was there during the Holbrook regime as well and would have been thrilled with Gee. The guy does a fine job in my humble opinion. As for construction, I didn't have the Oval my senior year. The entire area was 'roped' off for construction because the previous class of 2004 went bonkers about construction ruining the oval so they petitioned and petitioned and petitioned until the construction was pushed off-ruining the oval for the following class of seniors.
Necessary evil though. The place looks so much different (better) than when I was there from 2001-2005.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
This. Would you rather go to a school whose campus seems stuck in the 70's or attend a school that is constantly upgrading its infrastructure to ensure it is a great learning institution for generations to come? I'll take a little construction any day.
Right there with you bro. Les Wexner gives the school it's largest donation of $100M and says "if not for Gordon Gee" Personally, I find him charming. I have seen him at games and he looks like he is having a ball. He can stay as long as he likes IMO
Knowing him personally, he is 100% legit, genuine, and is everything you said (as is is the pro-Gee comment below) and more.
Not only is he widely known and respected he remembers most of the students/alumni he has met. I was at an event and he was talking with a buddy of mine who met Gee at the Mansfield Campus and Gee remembered him. That instance boosted my opinion and respect for the man, it shows how much he cares about OSU students, alumni, and boosters.
“There are some people addicted to alcohol, some people are addicted to gambling,” Luginbill said. “Urban Meyer is addicted to football, and he’s addicted to winning.”
No, Karen Holbrook was an embarrassment.
Death, taxes, and someone petulantly bitching about Gee.
Taquitos.
ahhh, the things that are guaranteed in ones life...

I apologize for expressing an opinion.
Just like the Honey Badger.... He don't give a F***
Probably hammered. He's one of the biggest party animals at the University.

When he talks, I worry.
At least he has a sense of humor and followed up with a WTF type tweet. E Gordon is a good EGG.
he's not perfect - who is - but i think that's the caveat to him being such a large public figure for our university.
go bucks, and i wanna ride in his space travel ship to fast forward to NSD, and then fast forward again to august 31st and plant me right in ohio stadium
I like football
I just hope Thad Matta doesn't fire him.
Maybe Gee is a timelord...
Gee being hammered wouldn't suprise me. His ex-wife admitted to using MJ in the chancellor's mansion (said it was for her Meniere's Disease):

Of course this is perfectly justified, as the thought of having to live in SEC country would drive me to use far harder drugs than just weed.

Gee really needs to stop talking.
I was in the Huntington Club tonight, it was pretty cool. Having a beer watching the buckeyes beat up on Wiscy in the second half.
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
does this mean that bowties are gonna be cool again? WOOHOOO!!!!
