Comments
We beat them once to keep them from getting the #1 ranking. Now we'll just have to make sure they don't hold onto it for long.
We could very conceivably end up playing the 4 number 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament this year
Duke lost Brian Kelly for awhile so probably not.
Kansas should be over scuM.
McLemore > Burke
We could also conceivably be one of them if we can win the games we are supposed to win and split with IU (or sweep Michigan!) along with a little luck/help. Not likely but conceivable. This season is wide open.
At this point, this could be like the 08-09 season in which whoever ends up being number one is there by default because of all the upsets. Louisville was the top overall seed that year, but you could argue that Kansas or Memphis were more deserving.

Personally feel Kansas should be up there because they beat us and Michigan hasn't and hopefully won't, but I have a feeling they won't be able to hold it just due to the shear impossibility of there being a 1 loss team in the big10 this year. The league is just way to deep and it will end up being a 3,4,or 5 loss team that wins the league if teams hold home court as much as possible.
Kansas is just too up and down with hardly any depth. I know they have won a bunch of games in a row right now, but all of those games are ones that they should have won. I do think they are a top 5 team, but without more depth and a bit more consistency throughout the course of a game, I am hesitant to call them the top team in the country.
Wonders if Missagain fans think any differently about AP polls now?
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
