That would have come in handy for E2B. I don't know how many time I have dropped calls on game day on campus. I don't know why they didn't do this with the stadium renovations this past summer.

Yeah I still don't understand how it has taken them this long to get going on improving communications serivces on game-day. My guess is they took their merry-old-time figuring out the business side of things... But I was at the MSU game this year and granted, they only seat 80,000 compared to our 105+, but I had full bars the entire game and could shoot off texts left and right... Oh well

Honestly I don't mind missing out on texts and other stuff while I'm at the game.

I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.

I tend to put my phone in airplane mode during the game because all it does is drain the battery. I'm glad to see these improvements.

We should strive to keep thy name, of fair repute and spotless fame...

I don't usually have issues texting and stuff, but forget about getting online for anything. Drives me nuts!

I don't text and call during games, because I'm busy doing other things...

But, friends and family always seem to complain. It's funny how OSU is partnering with Verizon on this, as they have historically been committed to AT&T.

It's too expensive for me to text on my TracPhone, so I don't have an opinion on this subject.

That and my fingers are too big.

Hopefully this will help us eliminate the wireless hot spot. We use data to stream the Watch ESPN app through a Verizon smartphone to a flat screen TV. Much easier and cheaper than having to bring satellite dishes and receivers.

I thought it sounded like they we're just going to increase the amount of available channels. Was there discussion in the article that I missed where they were looking at providing access that wouldn't use your cell data?

The way I read it is they have a connectivity issue. There are too many wireless devices trying to access their network and gridlocking it. I have experienced this in the Shoe, the Oval, Eddie Georges restaurant during game day. No calls, texts, internet.

It's about time is right. I'm always trying to communicate with other friends within the stadium when I am there, and it rarely worked for me.

You know what's absurd? I recently got a new phone so now for the same price I get 2gb data per month while the rest of my family has unlimited. I wish they would fix that instead.

Not having unlimited really stinks. It reminds me back when I had to watch for roaming and count my minutes. If T-Mobile or Sprint could match VZs coverage I'd jump ship in a second for the unlimited data.

I pay as much per month just for data (4GB shared with wife) as I do for unlimited cable internet at the house. Its a tough pill to swallow.

Edit: I hope they gave you the option to pay full price for you device and keep the unlimited plan. I'd have seriously considered doing that if I'd had the option.

Where'd you get the device? Everywhere I've been to ask about upgrading with a full price device has said that you get to keep Unlimited Data if you purchase a phone outright.

That's true but you are looking at prices upwards of $500 to $700 depending on the phone if you want to buy it outright... Which is equally if not more ridiculous.
