I loved watching Sam play last year as a Freshman. With his rediculous athleticism and defending ability he showed glimpses that he is capable of great things. He seemed a bit uncomfortable with the ball in his hands and needs to work on his shooting, but he's young and the talent is there. I'm hoping he becomes a Lighty-esque shut down defender as he continues to improve offensively.
I'm not looking for prolific, I'm looking for progress. If he can finish around the rim, maybe have a midrange shot, and rebound along with defend well, I'm more than happy with him.
If you watch his stroke, he has a tendency to both, not square up, and bow his shooting elbow out, and sometimes both on the same shot, sometimes not. The shots that he did make, he squared up and kept his elbow perpendicular to the bucket. He has the ability to shoot, he just needs to work on his consistancy. If he could hit 40% of his shots from behind the arc, that kid would be starting.
That kid can get up for sure, but I must also confess my love of Aaron Craft. He falls 4th on my man crush list, behind (in no order) Bradley Cooper, Robert Downey Jr., and the incomparable Sean Connery.

Hopefully he's been working on shooting free throws too.
Keep Calm and Ignore the Trolls.
Sam looks like he's added a little weight (a good thing).
Looked like he had a bit more meat on those arm bones.
Too bad he can't hit the broad side of a barn shooting.
That's what summers are for.
I'll be amazed if his FG % (excluding dunks) is over 40%.

Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
I know this is supposed to be about Sam, but can I go on record a little early and tell you how much I love Aaron Craft?
Buckeye born and bred. Buckeye til I'm dead.
Why would someone downvote this?
Let's hope it's just a jealous girlfriend.
