PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Well this is unfortunate, but with the 'red flag' put on him, it doesn't come as a huge surprise. I do still think he'll be taken in the 1st round, but perhaps now in the 20-30 range. Although I could see him going 15-20. As we previously discussed, being taken later will cost him some coin upfront, but it means he will more than likely end up on a better team (unless of course he gets taken by a mediocre and/or bad team with multiple picks (see Cavaliers, Cleveland).
I think possibly the BEST scenario could be for the Cavaliers to select Jared at #24.
I realize they would all be very young, with little experience and little/nothing proven in the NBA, but a core group of young players consisting of Irving, Thompson, Sullinger, and Beal/Barnes, along with whatever other prospects the Cavs may be able to gobble up early in the 2nd round... Could be the start of a nice building project for Cleveland, and it would allow a guy like Sullinger to grow and learn at a comfortable rate, while getting dimes dropped to him by a future superstar in Kyrie Irving.

I have no idea what kind of a pro Sullinger will turn out to be, but as a big Cavs fan and a big Sully fan , I would take him.
As a Cavs fan I would love for them to select Sully @ 24. I am not sure if he will ever be an all star or even a very good player but I know he can score from the post which the Cavs need.
He would compliment the defensive bigs the Cavs have perfectly.
Unfortunately he didn't work out for the Cavs. He knew he wasn't going No. 4 and apparently too many teams between 16-23 are interested.
Probably doing Sully a favor ... god the non-stop cameras watching Sully after every pick would be just too much.
