I was a track and field athlete at a small college (track brings in no money so we were low on the totem pole) and I must have gotten at the very least $500 in free stuff from shoes, workout clothes, meals..etc from coaches and assistants that were definetly not legal by NCAA rules. It happens everywhere at every level.
