I saw this headline today and was quite surprised. I'm sure the investment pays itself back being from and HQ'd in Columbus. tOSU is probably the biggest draw in this state and it certainly is for Columbus. I've never worked for a company who was headquartered out of Columbus, and the common theme from coworkers living out of state is their surprise at how big college football is here. All the more reason recruits should come play here. I'm not saying football at tOSU is all we care about here but it is really, really high on our priority list.
I went to Ohio State. It's a fine school that has always benefited from football being "really, really high on our priority list." It's a symbiotic relationship, that works.
