The Ohio State football team and support units have touched down at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Jet Center. The team is settled into its headquarters – the Westin Diplomat – and will hold a closed practice at 1 p.m.

On the news front, defensive end Noah Spence did not make the flight with the team.

Urban Meyer did not rule Spence out for Friday night's game, so we're in a bit of a holding pattern with news on this front.

Meyer also confirmed that true freshman safety Vonn Bell will start for Ohio State in its nickel package. Since the Buckeyes will roll nickel most of the night against Clemson, this will effectively be his first start as a Buckeye.
