Brian Kelly and Everett Golson share a moment.

The days of Notre Dame being quarterbacked by Tommy Touchdown are numbered. From USA TODAY:

Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly said Tuesday that suspended quarterback Everett Golson will be eligible to practice with the team when it begins preparation for a bowl.

Kelly, speaking in his weekly news conference, answered in the affirmative when asked whether Golson would be back with the team for pre-bowl practices but that he could not comment on whether Golson had been readmitted to the school.

... Notre Dame announced May 26 that Golson, who led the Fighting Irish to a BCS Championship appearance last season, exercised "poor academic judgment" and would be suspended for the fall 2013 school term and football season.

It's good to see Everett pay his dues for cheating and earn another chance. Despite the big stages we put these kids on, they're still just that — kids.

It's assumed Everett Golson will be a vital part of Belk Bowl preparation. The Irish play BYU on Saturday.
