UN-BE-LIEVABLE

Auburn's Ricardo Louis scored on a 73 yard pass on 4th and 18 with 25 seconds left hand the Tigers an improbable 43-38 win over Georgia.

Auburn's you-have-to-see-it touchdown overcame a Georgia 20-point comeback, which was capped by Aaron Murray's hard fought fourth quarter touchdown run.

Here's Auburn play-by-play guy Rod Bramblett with the call.

Watched it live... my reaction went something like this
Ball is in the air "Whelp that's an interception, game over..."
Auburn guy catches it off the deflection "WHAT NO WAY!!!!"
Verne and Gary were quick to call it "play of the year" which it very well could be, but you know...SEC.

My reaction as well. The UGA player was setting up to intercept when his teammate hit the ball and we started screaming. When UGA marched down the field I was worried that UGA would still pull it out. After Bama's struggles with MSU I think AU has a chance, if they can keep the game fast and high scoring. I don't think AU's defense is all that great, but they've come through so far when needed.  War Eagle.
No, if AU wins out and FSU stumbles we could see an OSU / AU NCG. If FSU doesn't we could just see AU wind up #2 ahead of us. I doubt it but watch the argument start if they beat Bama.

You can't spell chump without UM's picture

Cool. Great. Now go beat Bama.

The life of an SEC fan:
-My team isn't sniffing the NC game.
-Root for best team/rival in my conference (Alabama)
-Ride the success bandwagon of that team.
-Brag about how dominant the SEC is over every other conference.
-Throw on your Kentucky Wildcats gear during college basketball season.

SEC or not, that was a crazy play on 4th and 18.  Unbelievable.

Yeah I felt sick for the UGA players....the cameras wouldn't leave them alone afterwards.

me too.  Until the Georgia defensive player started trash talking when he stopped the two point attempt.  That was the most SEC play of the year.

That's the definition of freak play. Geez.

The shot of Georgia coaches all falling to the ground was priceless

What got me was the camera angle from the direction of the line of scrimmage. It seemed like half the fans in the stands that the play was being run toward, had their backs turned to watch it on the scoreboard rather than watching it live right in front of them.

Play of the year? Fun to watch but it was pure luck.

Sorry, fat finger downvote. Will up vote you on some of your other posts.  I totally agree with you - complete luck on that play.  Not the best play of the year, but might be the best bounce of the year.

It reminds me of the Denard Robinson TD run against us last year.  2 defenders having a shot, but cause a collision that squirted that zit to the endzone.

Like my Pop Warner and High School Coach used to say....."4th Down,   KNOCK THE BALL DOWN".  How could guys playing at the highest level (sorry NFL..but this was a SEC Game)...not know that?  And Georgia is one of the top academic schools in the SEC.

Auburn should have saved that majic for Bama.

Knock the ball down! What the heck- well coached 8th graders know this. I like Richt, but it is hard to feel sorry for UGA today.

Crazy play. But, on the gutsy go-ahead 5-yard TD rush by Georgia QB Aaron Murray, I did not think he got in. He looked to be down at the 1/2 yard line. For some reason, CBS would not show a reverse angle from the other side of the field; I think we would have seen his knee down more clearly. I was surprised they didn't overturn that.

Also couldn't believe we didn't get a reverse angle on that!  I saw a camera man in the background on that side of the field.
Auburn failed to convert a 3rd and 2 when they had the backfield miscommunication - jet sweep WR crashed into ball carrying RB to thwart the play.  AU went 3 and out on that possession, UGA scored.  AU went 3 and out on the next possession and Murray did not actually score.
Luck or not the result was fair.  Auburn dominated the entire game and deserved the victory.

I think we may have different definitions of dominate.

Georgia and Northwestern should go in on grievance counselors; the two biggest snake-bit teams I can recall in recent college football.
