Another clue that the college football season is right around the corner: the release of the first poll. It's sure to get people talking, as always.

One year after not appearing in the Coaches Poll due to their postseason ban, Ohio State checks in at No. 2. The Buckeyes received three first-place votes. Alabama is No. 1.

The Big Ten has five teams in the rankings: 2. Ohio State, 17. Michigan, 18. Nebraska, 22. Northwestern, 23. Wisconsin.

Once again, the SEC is the cream of the crop, with five teams in the top 10, six in the top 25 and 11 receiving votes.

The Buckeyes open the season in 30 days against Buffalo at Ohio Stadium.
