Cleveland Glenville has been very good to Ohio State over the last decade, and with one commitment already in the fold from Glenville (Marcelys Jones), Marshon Lattimore could be the next big prize.

Lattimore talked about his upcoming plans following Thursday night's Adidas Sound Mind/Sound Body camp where he and his teammates squared off in a heated seven-on-seven contest with Detroit Cass Tech.

He's got a GREAT poker face.

No doubt. Most times when a kid speaks about his recruitment, you get a feel of sorts for what he likes or if a certain school or schools have impressed him. From that interview, he doesn't seem like a lean to any school in any way, but who knows...

He sure does. Makes me think he may truely be looking at other schools. Can't blame him though. Gotta do whats best for him.

I think (hope) he'll be worth the wait.

It's probably sort of weird when most people just expect him to go to OSU with Glenville being the pipeline to OSU that it is. I'm sure he wants to see what his options are...He can pretty much play wherever he wants. Either way, I hope he ends up as a Buckeye & continues that tradition of kids from Glenville excelling at OSU & beyond...

Ginn sr seems like his  players like to drag out the recruitment. This way other players on the team get some looks by other programs.

Conspiracy theory: Marcelys wants Lattimore to commit elsewhere, as Marcelys too might be waivering

Could be similar to Worley and wait until January to commit. As he commits to tOSU, i'm fine with waiting.

Take your 5 official visits.  Have a great time.  Then commit to Ohio State.

Hopefully he just wants to include California and down south in his officials just to see that part of the country.  I know I would take all of my officials to see the country; all the while knowing exactly where I would be playing for!

My son attends Ginn Academy/Glenville going into his jr. year and my nephew attended the school and now is playing for illinois, the kids are incouraged to take their college visits during recuriting. also waiting to commit opens doors for other talented kids to get seen by college coaches. This system has worked so far so I don't see it changing much with Juice (Marshon) or Eric Smith

Then why did Marcelys Jones commit so early?

Breaking from the norm..Most of the glenville kids I've seen/ know wait til later in the recuriting process

What is in the water in Glenville (Ginnville) ??? Just blows my mind the talent these kids have. The size these kids have. And the smarts they have. Most of them act and play like veteran college players. My hat is off to Ted Sr. He is a heckuva coach!!

According to an article over on Scout with Bill Greene, Lattimore noted that while he is not necessarily a "package deal" he would love to play with his teammate 4 star safety Erick Smith who also holds an OSU offer.
