I used to defend him, but I just can't anymore. Scott with a steal, Q with a 3.
He's so absolutely hit or miss offensively but he does bring a lot to the table on defense, whether it be on the ball, help defense or rebounding. He's one of the best rebounders on the team from the 2-guard position. He does have value in other areas, but man when he's off offensively it's brutal to watch.

We can sit here and pick apart the individual play of some of the players but right now this team as a whole is playing very well. Before a few weeks ago, they would have to play near flawless to get a win. Now they can struggle a bit and still be in the game and get some ugly wins. This is a different team than what we were seeing before February!
I turned it to the Ole Miss/Vandy game during the halftime commercials; that Henderson kid is a wild card. Have to see a replay to see if it was a good call, but they need to follow shooters to the floor more often. You have to let the shooter come down, even after the shot has left his hand. Again we didn't have a good angle to see if there was contact, but it is foul that should probably be called more frequently and will always come late if it is.

Just to be clear, MY criticism with Matta is about winning a few of the games we aren't supposed to win. Been wanting to see one of his teams overachieve, not just lose to the Dukes and Kansases. I can admit when I am wrong and I am very impressed with what he's done with this particular team. Would love to see them tear through the tournament. THAT would be an accomplishment.
I think Craft deserves a lot of credit too. His play has been the difference over the last several games.
