Mom always said I'd make a great scrapbooker...
First up, the local paper of record, The Columbus Dispatch:

The paper of record from Tressel's hometown, The Cleveland Plain Dealer:

The Youngstown Vindicator, where Tressel spent 14 years winning four national championships before arriving in Columbus:

The Canton Repository:

The Akron Beacon Journal:

The Toledo Blade:

The Lorain Morning Journal:

And finally, The Cincinnati Enquirer continues to give no damns:

I find it funny that Cincinatti was the only paper that didn't give Tress a front page article, just a snippet. Spelling Bees are more important I suppose...the children are our future after all.
Around midnight yesterday he was the top story on CNN.com.
The impending opening in the Kentucky basketball job (I mean, it has to be sooner rather than later, right?) is a lot more important to the Enquirer's readership.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
It will be strange to not see The Vest on the sidelines, that's for sure, though I welcome the high-energy that Fickell will bring, considering he played like his hair was on fire.
I, for one, welcome our new coaching overlords.
This. Imagine if Hazel were still around too. Bollman calling plays makes me tired and
grumpyRAGE! Something tells me he won't be calling plays this fall though. Seriously, when was the last game he called? Getting passed over for a 37 yr old[badass] is telling. Gus Malzahn could work with our resources, no? I'm talking crazy now, blasphemy to a few. Who are some budding offensive minds? I'm starting to warm to this "shot-of-youth" approach. Why the hell not at this point. This does not inspire confidence, re: offensive wizardry

Yep, just put in ab 10 plus hours behind a bar in Alabama's armpit, sporting my Buckeye lid.... sucked. Be glad, all you fine Midwestern folk. Life is worse elsewhere. In a state that boasts consecutive national titles, until Auburn's bullshit and sCAM are ousted, take pride in the way you were raised. These creatures take more joy from our pain than their own glory. I'm a Buckeye, cause dammit I'm a Buckeye. We will get through this. Because it is better to be a Buckeye than some degenerate hick from the south. It's better to be a Buckeye than, dammit, anything else. Sport your gear, love your team, show the best and be glad. The joy of sunshine is tempered by the rain.
****igan smells like old water that hot dogs were boiled in. FACT
Amen, brother.
The Razorback fans in Fayetteville are clearing a place for that Sugar Bowl trophy because, ya know, the only reason we won is because we cheated.
.
"It seemed like a good idea at the time."
We msut be brothers. Everything you said is true. We need to get together and watch a few games all decked out in Buckeye gear and spread the pride throughout this sorry state.
I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.
Watching ESPNU's OSU vs. Michigan (2006) broadcast tonight... it makes me sad that I'll never get to watch Tressel call plays with personnel like he had that year. Mustberger's quote [verbatim] "Jim Tressel is simply the best play-caller that I've seen in college football in a long, long, time..."
I'd like to see people try to match that quote up with Tressel if he was on a list of relevant comparisons.
oops
