Moeller Awarded a 6th Year by NCAA

Tressel supposedly told the team after practice today and the players were pumped, to say the least.

This rule is in place specifically for guys like Moeller and we can't wait to see him back on the field destroying opponents in 2011.

That really is great news. Our secondary was looking pretty thin next year with Hines, Chekwa, and Torrence graduating. But more importantly, good for Tyler. If anybody deserves something like that, he does.

Moeller is a lock for captain. I think we'll see TP and Boom/Brewster for offensive captains, and Moeller and ??? for defensive captains. It may be that Tress uses a rotating system for the second defensive captain, because the only other seniors will be Sweat and Williams, and neither strikes me as captain material.

Sweet, Bell, and Klein/Sabino or Moeller is a lot of speed at the second level if he stays at STAR.

I think of all the injured players out, he is the most missed, IMO. Not knocking the others.

According to Rittenberg at ESPN:

"Moeller, who played the "star" position in Ohio State's often-used nickel package this season, recorded 20 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, an interception and a sack this season."

He only played in 2 games. WOW!
