Lane writes in with additional details and even a clip of the motivational DVD we mentioned Thursday.
The DVD is entitled "Take Home Talk" and is approximately 12 minutes long. It most prominently features Buckeye favorite Mark May, but Ivan Maisel and Trev Alberts are featured. All saying pretty much the same things: blown out last year, terrible schedule and fraudulent.
For good measure, several Gators are featured talking about how nobody gave them a chance last season among other quasi-inflammatory things.
The clip mentioned above, is only about 90 seconds long, but it should give you a good taste of the overall production. Still, the appearance of a clip can only mean one thing: a torrent should be here within the week.

wasn't banking on mp4 coding, and I'm only getting the audio. Got to upgrade this dilapidated Windoze box. That said, I'm already pissed off in just listening to it. They started this clip in a manner that gets the blood from 0 to boiling in seconds flat.
This is OK for a "Trailer", but I need the real thing!
Likewise, I want the Full Monty. SVM - Dilapidated Windoze box? You're the computer guy, download something! I played it on mine!
Trev Alberts picked us to win. Yeah, I know.
Damn,t hat pisses me off. I'd hate to be LSU if our guys DO watch that every day.
Did anyone catch the piece of nonsense the Columbus Dispatch printed today (Sunday)? Some vapid idiot from Knoxville gets a spot inside the second page of the sports section, and proceeds to rip Ohio State a new one.
It's one of the reasons I most dislike the Dispatch. Four or five days ago, they troll for comments from Central Ohioans who resent the fervent degree of Buckeye worship *in the town and environs where Ohio State is located.* Now, my Sunday sports page gets turned into a cheap ploy to generate water cooler talk and angry letters to the editor.
Suggestion: Spend more time making sure your reporters verify facts about actual news stories (see Donald Washington) before you devote precious minutes and hours manufacturing and manipulating new ones.
Morons.
Joe - I did catch that 'Hate Ohio State' piece from the Knoxville chump in the Dispatch. Thankfully, I was taking my Sunday morning dump so I didn't have to run to the bathroom.
I've always said the Dispatch was crap. I grew up with the Plain Dealer, And liked it. So it was tough getting accustomed to the Dispatch when I came to C'bus.
So, does anyone thing this motivational DVD is effective? or does a leak that it is out there make it less effective?
Mark....you grew up somewhere that you received the Plain Dealer and somehow turned out to be a Steelers fan? For shame.
Yeah, I confuse a lot of people that way. I actually grew up in Brook Park, OH which is a suburb of Cleveland. Actually the home of the Cleveland Hopkins Airport as well as the highest prostitution rate in Ohio due to the airport & Brook Park Road's strip clubs/motels.
I have an excuse that most people won't accept. But it is a valid excuse. My parents are both from PA. Both from the sticks around Uniontown, PA. They moved to Cleveland to escape having to work in the PA coal mines in the 60's. So growing up, my dad was a huge influence for me becoming a Steelers fan. it didn't hurt that they were winning Super Bowls at the time either. I am an avid Tribe and Cavs fan though. believe it or not, there are quite a few people just like me in Cleveland. It seems there was a mass exodus of people leaving PA for work in Cleveland around the same time my dad did it.
Well..... at least you're not just a bandwagon jumper!
Whats going on today? You guys all getting drunk watching bowl games or something?
I know I am. You gotta be to have $200 on the Hoosiers.
"Mark….you grew up somewhere that you received the Plain Dealer and somehow turned out to be a Steelers fan? For shame."
It could indicate that the gentleman was one of the Plain Dealer's more educated, erudite and literate readers, who could never understand the mentality of stooping low enough to be a Clowns fan. His very presence in Cleveland probably raised the aggregate IQ level there by four or five points.
GREAT fun watching the Titans knock Cleveland out of the playoffs. Too bad the Jags will do the same thing to my boys next week. Ugh.
The Titans didn't knock us out. Indy did. :P
I hope the Steelers beat the Jags.....that way I can enjoy Randy Moss catching 7 TD's against the Steeler's vaunted D.
