I came across this pic of Woody and Jimmy Crum the other day and thought it might be fun to have a little caption contest.
I know we've spoiled you but no prizes on this one, just a little chance to show some creativity and prove once again that you're funnier than the 11W payroll. If I hear crickets, I'm going to blame you guys for not being funny enough to play so step it up.
Of course, I've got nothin' other than the obligatory "No, first they throw the beads THEN we pop the hoods!"

the prequel to the "girls gone wild" series...
"old men gone giggly".
Do you think Jimmy is "goosing" Woody?
Gatorpilot.....you said "Wil, you do know the SEC has the all-time advantage head-to-head against the Big 10, pretty convincingly at 63-45-2?"
now this surprised me....I became even more suspicious when I realized you got this info from an SEC fan blog:
http://www.secsportsfan.com/bi...
(yes, I'm psychic)
......so I did some research....
There are plenty of ways you can manipulate these stats.....It can be only match-ups of teams while they were in each conference...(I did not choose to do it this way because....well looking up all the dates of when teams played and when they joined or were removed from the Big Ten or SEC would take more time than I have)............it can be the teams that are currently in the SEC vs teams they played that were in the Big Ten at that time (71-73-5 ...yes a losing record for the SEC) ......it can be teams currently in the Big Ten when they played teams that were in the SEC at that time (74-86-5 ....yes a losing record for the Big Ten) now the reason these could both be losing records is they could have played when 1 team was in its respective conference and the other was not.... it also could be because changes in the teams within the conferences.
I chose to compare the records of current teams in the SEC against current teams in the Big Ten. In my humble opinion that shows which conference (the way they are compiled now) has faired better against the other throughout history..... that record is VERY close at 91-87-6, but in favor of the Big Ten. I'm not sure where your SEC blog fan got his stats from, but here is the database where I got mine from incase you would like to look.

You have to calculate each individual team’s records and then total them. I still have each of the current Big Ten and current SEC team’s records written down if you would like any of them.
"SEC speed?!?
BWAAAHAAAHAHHAHAA
HAHAAAAA!!!!"
Woody: "Do you think they know I just took a dookie on Michigan's 50 yard line?"
Jimmy: "Who cares, they can't catch a I-AA team."
I see a wilagainstgatorpilot.blogspot.com sprouting up in the near future.
"You're right, you CAN see down her shirt from here!"
great job on the site, jason. frost-dog told me about & i've been reading it pretty regularly. get in touch & congrats on the wedding.
my caption is:
"it looks like a penis, only smaller."
i know i stole it from robot chicken, but it's still funny.
"What did I tell you about the school up north's coaching search."
Jimmy: I love havin' swinging good times in the dorms. u?
Woody: I have to agree because we are both swinging guys.
Both: Hey ladies...who's ready for some action...'cuz...We are...two wild and crazy guys!
Jimmy: By the way where did you pick up the groovy plaid blazer? I might have to pick up one or two of those.
"God promised good seats, and he was right."
Good one, Joe!
Lloyd Carr's ears look just a big from up here as they do up close!
"Watch this Jimmy, I told Holtz to go give the guys a pep talk--20 bucks says they don't understand a word he says!"
"The school up north has some ugly cheerleaders."
The BigTen's first gloryhole press box was installed in 1972.
Woody: And all these years we've been telling the kids to stay away from the wacky tobacky.....hahaha
Jimmy: Bout time you loosened up Coach...now stop bogardin that and pass it this way
Woody: Alright, alright....wait check out that coed in the oval...I sure do love them red heads
Harold wins...
"I bet Lantry he couldn't hit me with a kick. I've been here for three hours."
Wil, no, frankly I'm way too lazy to do any of that. I'm sure my source's methodology is just as strong (I'm doubtful that being selective as to which teams to include for ANY reason makes sense) and either way it's pretty close.
I do think the SEC tends to have our middling tier teams matched with the Big 10's best teams; it's annoying, for example, that last year Wisconsin drew Arkansas. I just can't forgive Houston Nutt for losing that game; it's almost impossible to lose a game with stats like that, but he figured out a way to do it.
JoePa beating Tennessee didn't shock me either. Tennessee is awful in bowl games.
The SEC's best pretty consistently beats the Big 10's best. That much seems pretty much indisputable. And that's good enough for me.

Wow. Where does one start?
Woody: "Hey Jimmy, look...there's Schembechler! Do you think I can spit on him from here?"
Seriously? Arkansas was in your SEC championship game last year and Wisconsin was our #3 last year.
Now you may say it doesn't make any sense to be selective which teams to include...so that is why I took every team currently in both conference and compared them.

Seriously, I wouldn't make this statement without looking at the stats.....its actually pretty close. In all honesty...tOSU is kind of the black mark against the Big Ten in this comparison with its 4-10-2 record (we've managed to lose to every team we've played in your conference except Kentucky and LSU). Michigan however, holds a 19-5-1 record against the SEC in which it beat Georgia, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama (they were good back in the day). Also Penn State has beat Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn, and Alabama.
This is why I call you a perennial SEC homer, you make statements like that when you don't know the stats, you just assume the SEC has always been better so they must have the better record and the times they did lose must have been because it was our best against your middle tier teams. But then you completely disregard the obvious advantage that almost all the games are played in the south.
I may be a Big Ten biased fan, but I can at least see that throughout history it has been pretty close, and I’m even willing to admit that this year, as a whole, the SEC has a much tougher conference.
"I told you so, Jimmy...that IS Brady Hoke down there!"
