I Demand A Starting Spot For Matt Terwilliger

After years of piling on the three point launching, non-rebounding galoot previously known as Matt Turdwiggler, I have finally seen the light.

What, you may ask, has caused me to change my Turdwiggler bashing to Terwilliger glossing? It's simple.

With Matt's consecutive offensive explosions against Florida (7 pts) and UMBC (4 pts), Ohio State is now 26-0 in games where Da Wiggla records at least 4 points.

How about that! Pretty impressive stuff, right?! I mean, I know the guy has played 93 career games so he's only scored at least 4 points in roughly 28% of them but that just reinforces my headline.

Terwilliger has already secured 3 victories this season with his production (10 pts against VMI plus Florida and UMBC) and a starting spot should allow him enough minutes to eclipse the lofty 4 point barrier more often so let's hope Matta's reading. A return trip to the Final Four could be in the balance.

In all seriousness, Terwilliger has performed exceptionally well the last two games with 11 points and 11 rebounds in 28 minutes after recording just 6 points and 10 rebounds in his previous 6 games. If the Buckeyes are going to get back to the Madness, Terwilliger needs to step it up in conference play when foul trouble seems to always test team depth. I'm sure Lauderdale will get his money's worth on the defensive end but Terwilliger will be counted on for a few buckets when the unavoidable foul trouble for Koufos and/or Hunter crops up, especially on the road. Make you nervous? Me too.
