Man, it's tough at the top. The Vest is catching flack from all around for not voting in the final Coaches Poll, although his abstention had no impact on the final BCS rankings. In a press release, USA Today Managing Editor Monte Lorell said he was disappointed in Gentleman Jim for not casting a vote. In his ongoing effort to do the right thing, Tressel actually inquired on the ability to split his 2nd place vote but when told that wasn't possible, he abstained altogether. The Vest quipped "Maybe they'll fire me as a pollster" when heard of USA Today's unhappiness.
Another outlet taking issue with The Vest's non-vote resides in Bristol. The grossly overrated espnradio show Mike and Mike actually nominated Tressel for this week's Shut Up Award. Are you kidding me? Needless to say, Tressel finished a distant third as most fans are intelligent enought to realize Coach was simply taking the high road after being placed in a no-win situation.
Lastly, we all know that LLLLLloyd referred to The Vest's non-vote as "real slick", however I was shocked to hear who else had an opinion. Texas Tech Head Coach Mike Leach chimed in by callling Tressel's move "a bunch of sanctimonious bunk" in a recent interview. Two questions - Is Texas Tech even in Division I and why would anyone ask this assclown for his opinion on anything related to big time college football?

It sounds like the vest wouldn't mind not being a voter in the USA Today Poll. If he doesn get fired from it, will it hurt the Bucks in the future?

I see rocco pentello committed to OSU today as a safety...
