MASON, OHIO — A heinous criminal act is being righted by the kindhearted actions of an anonymous donor.

Ronald Hoeffler, a lifelong Ohio State fan and "one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet," passed away in April at 51. According to WCPO.com, his family decided to honor him with "a temporary stone with [Ohio State's] name and precious mementos at his final resting place."

Then, sometime during the July 4th weekend, the items were removed. Groundskeepers said they wouldn't have been removed by mistake, which means a soulless person or persons stole stole/removed the items on their own.

Thankfully, it was a universal injustice that did not stand for long. After a posting by the family about the incident garnered over 2,000 Facebook shares, an anonymous donor stepped forward to replace the shrine with an even bigger one.

"From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for this! It's a small and heart felt gesture," Rona'd son, Corey, wrote on his Facebook page, according to WCPO.com.

"I missed you by 5 minutes today when I went back out there," Corey went on to say in his post. "Please contact me so me and my family can thank you in person."

And that is why good will always win.
