What makes Ohio State athletics really, really good (particularly men's basketball and football), isn't that the Buckeyes enjoy the services of the best athletes in the United States or the incredible facilities. I mean, those help, a lot, but all the players and locker room hot tubs in the world doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot if you don't have coaches who can take those elements and turn them into championships.

"Continuity" is the word I'm looking for here; to be able to go from Tressel to Urban and Matta to Holtmann was a multi-decade stroke of revenue-sport genius and some luck. That trickles down to assistants, too. Urban won big by not sweating the departures of talented staff, replacing them by bringing in the likes of Tom Herman, Larry Johnson, and, well... Ryan Day.

So that's Day's challenge. Jeff Hafley might be the first, but he won't be the last, and Ryan Dya has to prove that he can handle that kind of transition as smoothly as Urban did.

Andy and I talk about that, Burrow's Heisman, a basketball loss (???) and answer some truly excellent Ask Us Anything questions via e-mail and/or Twitter. It's a great time, and if you enjoy the Dubcast, please don't forget to rate and subscribe to us on iTunes, Google Podcasts, or Spotify.

0:00 Congrats to Joe Burrow, who is no longer officially a Buckeye but since he's from Ohio we get to claim him forever.

11:00 Jeff? Jeff??? JEFF!? JEEEEEEEEEEEEFFFFFFF!!!

29:08 Men's b-ball lost. Meh! Plus, Ask Us Anything wants to know what kind of folksy wisdom a couple of southern Ohio boys like Andy and I can dispense.

And that's it, thanks to you for listening and checking out the Dry Goods store, thanks as always to Travis for the cool logo, and we'll see you next time!
