There are now two Sayins playing quarterback in Columbus.
Aidan Sayin, the older brother of Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin, signed with the UFL’s Columbus Aviators on Tuesday.
Sayin is a former quarterback at the University of Pennsylvania, where he started 31 games from 2021-24 and completed a school-record 719 passes on 1,151 attempts (62.5%) for 7,177 yards with 45 touchdowns and 31 interceptions. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound quarterback was a two-time honorable mention All-Ivy selection.

1st in completions (719), 2nd in passing yards (7,177), 4th in touchdowns (45) and 5th in completion percentage (62%) all-time at Penn.#LetsFly pic.twitter.com/IwbUJgF3R9
Now, Sayin is getting an opportunity to play professional football in the same city where his younger brother enters his second season as Ohio State’s starting quarterback.
The Aviators brought in Aidan Sayin after Clayton Tune left the team to sign a futures deal with an NFL team. He joins a quarterback room that includes former Baylor quarterback Jalan McClendon – the Aviators’ projected starter – and former Prairie View A&M quarterback Jalen Morton.
The Columbus Aviators will begin their first UFL season on Sunday, March 29 (8 p.m., ESPN) with a road game against the Orlando Storm. The Aviators will play their first home game at Historic Crew Stadium on Friday, April 3 (8 p.m., FOX) vs. the DC Defenders.
