Jaxon Smith-Njigba can officially call himself the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year.

The Pro Football Writers of America named Smith-Njigba as the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year on Wednesday.

Smith-Njigba is the first former Ohio State player to win the PFWA’s Offensive Player of the Year Award, one of two major NFL Offensive Player of the Year awards, along with the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year award, which will be presented at the NFL Honors on Feb. 5 (9 p.m., NBC).

JSN earns Offensive Player of the Year honors after catching 119 passes for 1,793 yards – the most in the NFL this year and the eighth-most in a single season in NFL history – and 10 touchdowns during the regular season. He led the Seattle Seahawks to a 14-3 record in the regular season, earning them the No. 1 seed in the NFC, and they’re now one game away from the Super Bowl as they’re set to face the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday (6:30 p.m., FOX).
