Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Quinshon Judkins both found the end zone twice in Week 12.
Smith-Njigba continued his historically great season with his best game yet, while Judkins had the second multi-touchdown game already in his NFL career. Their performances headline this week’s edition of Across The Shield, Eleven Warriors’ weekly look at how former Ohio State players performed throughout the NFL.
JSN has best game yet in historic season
Jaxon Smith-Njigba bolstered his quest for the best receiving season in NFL history with his biggest game yet in Week 12.
The former Ohio State wide receiver caught eight passes for a season-high 167 yards, including a season-high two touchdowns, to lead the Seattle Seahawks to a 30-24 win over the Tennessee Titans.
His first touchdown came on a career-long 63-yard catch. Smith-Njigba beat Titans safety Amani Hooker to haul in a deep ball, then strolled into the end zone as Hooker fell to the ground trying to make a play on the ball.

Smith-Njigba started the second half with a 56-yard catch on the first play from scrimmage after halftime. Two plays later, Smith-Njigba caught a pass at the back of the end zone from 13 yards out for his second score of the game.

Smith-Njigba has now caught 80 passes for 1,313 yards this season, leading the league in both categories. He has 259 more receiving yards than the league’s second-leading receiver, George Pickens of the Dallas Cowboys.
With six weeks to go in the season, Smith-Njigba has already broken the Seahawks’ franchise record for receiving yards in a single season, surpassing the previous mark of 1,303 yards by DK Metcalf in 2020. And his 167-yard game on Sunday put him back on pace to break Calvin Johnson’s NFL record for single-season receiving yards.

Averaging 119.4 yards per game, Smith-Njigba would become the first 2,000-yard receiver in NFL history if he continues that pace for the next six weeks. He needs 651 receiving yards in the Seahawks’ final six regular-season games to break Johnson’s record of 1,964 yards in 2012.
Smith-Njigba was also the NFL’s leading receiver for the week with his 167-yard performance in Week 12, and earned our Pro Buck of the Week award as Ohio State’s top NFL performer of the week for the second time this season.

Judkins scores two Wildcat touchdowns
Quinshon Judkins had the second multi-touchdown game of his NFL career in just his 10th game as a professional football player.
The former Ohio State running back scored two touchdowns in the first quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Both touchdowns came out of the Wildcat formation, with Judkins taking a direct snap before running the ball into the end zone.

With Shedeur Sanders making his first NFL start, the Browns used the Wildcat formation frequently on Sunday, snapping the ball directly to Judkins five times. He gained 27 total yards on those five carries, while he gained just 20 combined yards on his other 11 carries in the game.
Judkins – who scored three touchdowns in the Browns’ October win over the Miami Dolphins – has now scored seven touchdowns this season, tying him with New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo for the second-most among all rookies behind only Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty (8). He has the fourth-most yards from scrimmage among rookies (737) behind only Jeanty (825) and two of his former Ohio State teammates, Emeka Egbuka (758) and TreVeyon Henderson (738).
Sack attack
Five former Ohio State players combined for 4.5 sacks in Week 12.
Dre’Mont Jones recorded his first 1.5 sacks as a Baltimore Raven in the Ravens’ 23-10 win over the New York Jets. Those brought his sack total for the season to six, including the 4.5 sacks he had with the Titans before he was traded to Baltimore in early November.

DaVon Hamilton recorded his first sack of the season in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ win over the Arizona Cardinals, while Mike Hall Jr. and Jerome Baker each had a half-sack in the Browns’ win over the Raiders. Hall, fresh off making his first tackle of the season on a sack in Week 11 against the Ravens, had four tackles against the Raiders.
Raiders fire Kelly after 11 games
Chip Kelly’s return to the NFL has already ended after just 11 games.
The Las Vegas Raiders fired the former Ohio State offensive coordinator on Sunday, less than 10 months after they made him the NFL’s highest-paid coordinator when they hired him away from Ohio State in February.
— Las Vegas Raiders (@Raiders) November 24, 2025
Kelly, who signed a three-year, $18 million contract with the Raiders after helping Ohio State win the national championship last season, was fired after the Raiders mustered just 10 points on 268 yards against the Browns on Sunday. It was the fifth time in 11 games this season that the Raiders were held to 10 points or fewer. In Kelly’s 11 games calling the offensive plays, Las Vegas went just 2-9 with 15 points per game (tied for the fewest in the NFL this year) on 268.9 yards per game (the third-lowest average in the league).
