It was always probably an extreme longshot that Ohio State and Texas could move their season opening tilt to a Sunday night. The broadcasting interest (in this case, Fox) has way too much invested in a Big Nooner to allow cool and good things to happen, and yes, there are very obviously important logistical and logical reasons why it'd be a bad idea to try and make it work under the lights on a different day/time.
But this week George and I would like to ignore all of that to point out that Texas is filled with a bunch of puffed up, all hat and no cattle having yellow-bellied crybabies who have so little confidence in their football team that they need to claw back any perceived on-field advantage possible, in a futile attempt to make their soft as baby shit Longhorn "football" "program" look good on national television after getting de-pantsed by Jack Sawyer and company in their own backyard.
Also, the Big Ten is better than the SEC! Also, Ohio State has been a better football program than Alabama over the last 25 years! Also, uhhhh, look, Around the Horn got canceled. We're in mourning. George is in mourning.
Plus, Ask Us Anything!
- This is all mostly tongue in cheek but I think a big part of the reason why Texans are so ridiculously annoying about talking up how great Texas is, is because there's nothing about about the place that is actually interesting or cool if you think about it for more than five seconds.
- Conference pride is for dorks and the angrier other Big Ten fanbases are, the better.
- Ask Us Anything, which you can do by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com, wants to know the weirdest cars we've seen around town. Please feel free to wrap your car in anime babes, don't let me tell you how to have a good time.
- Around The Horn was good when I could mentally insert myself on the panel, but I stopped watching once everyone on the show became cooler and better looking than me.
And that'll do it! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
Thanks as always for watching/listening and checking out the Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next week!
