Eleven Dubcast: Ohio State Has a Shot at NFL Draft History, Especially If League Ownership Starts Listening to Us for Once

I'm think what initially appealed to me about the NFL Draft as a kid was the idea that people threw you a party for getting a job. A very lazy person by nature, I had kind of hoped that my first real job experience would involve some guy in an ill-fitting suit announcing my name to a bunch of deliriously happy drunk people and then me putting on a cool hat.

That didn't end up happening (I just got to sit in the cab of a pickup truck for half a day while one of the guys from the auto parts store explained deliveries and why the coming war between Russia, China, and Iran would kick off the apocalypse), but part of me hopes that eventually it will. In the meantime, I can live vicariously through Ohio State players being selected in the NFL Draft, and that's what this week's Dubcast is largely about.

Who's overrated? Underrated? Appropriately rated? Who will be a sleeper, and who will disappoint (honestly, probably nobody)? We'll find out for sure later this week, but if you want to know right now, you'd better tune in!

  • It's pretty interesting how there are some obvious pairs of Ohio State players in this draft.
  • Also, Will Howard is going to start a few NFL games and there's going to be a subset of football fans who are going to be weirdly invested in his failure.
  • Ohio State needs a DT in the portal and if they don't get that Syracuse kid I'm going to lose it.
  • Ask Us Anything, which you can do by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com, wants to know the best soup and scary places to be at 3 a.m.
  • Michigan's expensive new recruit had a pretty godawful Spring Game! It probably doesn't mean much, but it's funny right now, so we're leaning into it!
  • See ya, Mr. Corso!

And that does it for the Dubcast this week! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.

Thank you for listening, check out the Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next time!
