After each Ohio State win in 2023, we will select one offensive Buckeye and one defensive Buckeye with player of the game honors.

Following Ohio State's 35-16 win over Rutgers in Week 10, running back TreVeyon Henderson is the Eleven Warriors offensive player of the game, and defensive back Jordan Hancock is the defensive player of the game.

Henderson's recognition marks his second consecutive Eleven Warriors offensive player of the game award in 2023. In Week 9 vs. Wisconsin, Henderson recorded 24 carries for 162 yards and one touchdown and added four receptions for 45 yards as a pass-catcher. He followed that up with another stellar performance vs. Rutgers, collecting 22 carries for 128 yards and one score on the ground and adding five catches for 80 yards as a receiver.

In six appearances for Ohio State this season, Henderson has recorded 90 carries for 585 yards (6.5 YPC) and seven touchdowns, plus 12 receptions for 170 yards. The Hopewell, Virginia, native missed Ohio State's matchups with Maryland, Purdue and Penn State with an undisclosed ailment he suffered in the Buckeyes' win over Notre Dame in Week 4.

Hancock has been one of Ohio State's most improved defenders in 2023, becoming a consistent member of the Buckeyes' "BIA" secondary.

On Saturday, Hancock had an up-and-down performance, allowing a handful of completions to Rutgers pass-catchers. However, he also contributed what can be seen as the most crucial moment in the game, returning an interception 93 yards for a touchdown and putting Ohio State in front of Rutgers, 14-9, in the second half. From then on, the Buckeyes never relinquished their lead, defeating the Scarlet Knights, 35-16, in Piscataway.

Henderson and Hancock are the ninth pair of Buckeyes to be named Eleven Warriors players of the game in 2023. Henderson has now received the honor twice this season, while Hancock is a first-time honoree.

We will keep a running chart of all the recipients as the season continues, with the individual awards to be posted on our social media accounts and the website each Sunday after an Ohio State win.
