Julian Fleming gets the start.

With Garrett Wilson sidelined against Nebraska, the former top receiver in the 2020 class is making his first collegiate start alongside Chris Olave and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Fleming was – and still is – the highest-rated receiver ever to sign with Ohio State, rated as the top receiver and No. 3 overall player in the 2020 class. He didn't see much action his true freshman season due to a shortened conference-only schedule and a limited number of lopsided games, and he's been sidelined with injuries for much of the 2021 season.

Hampered by injuries for much of the season, Fleming has seen action at receiver in just three games in 2021 and has played the fewest snaps of any scholarship receiver on the roster. Still, Fleming gets the nod to start over freshmen Emeka Egbuka and Marvin Harrison Jr.

In his seven game appearances so far in his career, Fleming has nine catches for 91 yards and no touchdowns.
