Nine former Ohio State players who were cut by NFL teams on Tuesday landed back with NFL teams on Wednesday.
Undrafted rookie linebacker Justin Hilliard, who was waived by the San Francisco 49ers, was claimed by the New York Giants as an addition to their 53-man roster. Former Ohio State offensive lineman Michael Jordan is also back on a 53-man roster as he was claimed by the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday after being waived by the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday.
Former Ohio State defensive lineman Jalyn Holmes was waived by the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, but the signings of Hilliard and Jordan bring the total of players on active 53-man rosters (not including players like Michael Thomas who are currently on reserve lists) who finished their college careers at Ohio State to an even 50.
