We've all seen the video of a young Dwayne Haskins scurrying around the Woody Hayes Athletic Center discussing his future college plans. This week ESPN's Marty Smith sat down with the Ohio State quarterback to talk about how he ended up in Columbus, some early struggles while redshirting, and the path that's led him to become a Big Ten record-holder.

Haskins also touched on his recruitment that ultimately led him to decommit from the in-state Terrapins and flip to the Buckeyes. Following the Randy Edsall firing, he reached out to Urban Meyer about taking a visit and Meyer didn't even know who was contacting him.

He goes on to discuss his "pretty elite" performance against the Wolverines, his goals as Ohio State's quarterback, and what it means to be in the same conversation as Drew Brees. He also offers a bit of a pitch to the playoff selection committee.

So far in 2018, he's thrown for over 4,000 yards and 42 touchdowns while leading the country's No. 2 passing offense. Last week, in his first start against Michigan, he shredded the Wolverines for 396 yards and six touchdowns to put the Buckeyes back in the playoff picture.

Dwayne Haskins and the Buckeyes take the field tonight at 8 p.m. to duke it out with the Northwestern Wildcats. Ohio State seems destined for either the Rose Bowl or the College Football Playoff, and we should know a lot more following this afternoon's Oklahoma/Texas game.
