Devin Smith is headed to the Big Apple.

Nearly four months removed from exploding during Ohio State's run at the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship, Smith was selected by New York Jets with the 37th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft Friday.

Smith becomes the first Buckeye wide receiver selected in the draft since former teammate DeVier Posey in 2012, who went in the third round to the Houston Texans, and only the second wideout from Ohio State drafted since 2009.

The speedy wideout led the country with a 28.2 yards per reception average in 2014, recording 33 catches to lead the team with 961 yards and 12 touchdowns during Ohio State's run at the national title. He ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in February and was widely know as one of, if not the, best deep threat in college football last season.
