An Ohio State defensive back target in the 2025 class was intrigued by his first visit to the program last weekend.

Michigan prospect Alex Graham was among the many recruits in attendance Saturday for the Buckeyes’ Student Appreciation Day scrimmage and the 6-foot-1, 186-pound standout made sure to soak in being at OSU.

“That was my first time going there and visiting Ohio State, I got a great vibe walking in and seeing all the recruiters and coaches and everything,” Graham told Eleven Warriors. “I went to practice and loved the energy at practice and everything with the players flying around to the ball and coaches coaching players up. I had a great time there.”

During the scrimmage, Graham said he was impressed with how Ohio State’s defensive backs held their own against OSU’s talented wide receiver corps.

“They were lockdown,” Graham said. “Ohio State has a lot of corners in the league. But in practice, they were doing their thing, flying around and locking down wide receivers. I would say when a player made a mistake on something, I loved how coaches corrected him and showed him the right way to do it.”

Graham has picked up more than 20 Division I offers and plays cornerback for Cass Technical High School but says he may play some safety in his junior season. He spoke with both Tim Walton and Perry Eliano on his OSU visit.

“Coach Walton kept it real and says he’s always going to keep it real with everything,” Graham said. “He’s going to make me a better man and player. He’ll also help me get to the next level.”

Graham also spoke with Ryan Day during his time in Columbus.

“Coach Day to me is a really humble guy,” Graham said. “The main message to me is Ohio State is one big family and they take care of each other and look out for each other.”

With his first visit to OSU now concluded, Graham said he plans on returning to OSU this summer to work out at a recruiting camp.

“Ohio State is most definitely one of my top schools,” Graham said.

Dylan Stewart sets official visit for OSU for June 16

One of Ohio State’s biggest priority defensive end targets, five-star Washington D.C. product Dylan Stewart, has locked in an official visit to OSU this summer for June 16 per On3.

Stewart, who visited OSU March 24-25, has also set official visits to Georgia (June 2) and South Carolina (June 23). The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Stewart is considered the 10th-best prospect and second-rated edge player in the 2024 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. OSU has picked up some momentum with Stewart as of late, but will need to carry it over into the summer to win his recruitment.

Witten to visit OSU April 15 for spring game

Like Graham, four-star Ohio tight end Damarion Witten was also in Columbus over the weekend for a spring visit. It won’t be the only one he makes this spring. Witten confirmed he’ll be returning to OSU on April 15 for the Buckeyes’ spring game.

Witten is considered the 351st-ranked prospect and 18th-ranked tight end in the 2024 class. He made several gameday visits to OSU last fall, including the Notre Dame and Wisconsin games.
