With the obvious MASSIVE caveat that teams often leak this kind of stuff as smokescreens or to drum up trade interest, the Giants are allegedly interested in trading for Josh Rosen:
“The Giants are planning to investigate every possible option when it comes to finding their Quarterback of the Future, and that includes a potential trade for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen,” the Giants’ insider noted Thursday evening.
From the Giants perspective, it could make sense if they really think he could be a franchise QB and could be acquired with only a second round pick. Then they could use the sixth overall pick on other help (like one of the many DEs).
For Haskins, this could potentially cost him a little money if he falls a few picks. But I can't see a scenario where he actually falls THAT far, as if he's still there at 8 or 9 some random team could jump up to grab him.
