Earlier this year, Jaquan Lyle recorded just the fifth triple-double in the history of Ohio State basketball. Meanwhile, Kyle Collinsworth has twelve all by himself.

I can't explain it. 

Can anybody else think of similar oddities in sports that defy explanation?
