On the one hand, obviously I get that bowl games have been diminished, teams with disappointing seasons want to shut the door, kids may transfer out, seniors may be "done" and looking to prep for next level, but...
Going to a bowl = more practices.
Yeah, it may not apply to some kids and maybe those sit out or whatever. But for the coaching staff and those who are sticking around, having some hard, focused, bowl practices to build momentum for next year seems like a no brainer.
So I get where certain teams with coaching changes and such massive turnover might just say "can't do it" (and I get that ND made an emotional decision and statement), but... not really understanding many of the other declines.
What am I missing?
