Having a bye after only 2 games and MAC games at that is just plain stupid.  It serves no purpose other than convenience for the game schedulers.  Having to play 11 straight (including a possible conf. championship) after that makes no sense whatsoever.

There should be a 5 game minimum before getting a bye. I'd be fine with having them all done in  3-4 weeks in the middle of the calendar and deal with the fewer games those weeks.  Rant over.
