Former Duke forward Sean Stewart, a five-star recruit in the 2023 class, commits to Ohio State.
Is there a reason to continue playing a conference title game I’m not aware of? It wasn’t that long ago the big ten and several other conferences just crowned a champion off record. In the BCS and 4 team playoff era that extra game became necessary to ensure you weren’t left out if you were on the bubble. That’s no longer the case with an automatic qualifier for conference champions and quite a few more spots total. Why play an extra game when the season just added an extra 3-4 games possible already? How banged up do you want to be going into the playoffs? This also ends all the talk about having to change tradition to avoid playing a certain team back-back.
