We've discussed, at length, the deficiencies of the offensive line, especially following this week.  They struggle in the run game.  It's plain to see.  But they're not horrible at pass pro, and you can make even a mediocre pass pro line look okay with quick passing (see Colorado).

With all of that in mind, is is crazy to ask to see an offense predicated on 4 and 5 WR sets?

There's not a defense in the country that could cover a WR lineup of Marv, Embuka, Fleming, Tate, and (insert whoever here... X, Ballard, Inniss) or that same first four with Trey coming out of the backfield as a 5th option. 

You can't play them tight because your secondary is getting beat over the top.  But you also can't play a soft zone because they could pick you apart underneath.

Right?

Or am I crazy?

I realize it's not in Day's "pro-style" offensive philosophy, but inevitably doesn't spreading the field also open up the run, which then allows for more of the play action his offense IS predicated upon?

What am I missing?
