Yes, I know there's a million threads/posts about all sorts of stuff related to the big game, and rightfully so.  There are so many angles to that game.

One thing I haven't seen much discussion about is how well (at least IMO) the ND corners played.   If you would have told me before the game that we would not be able to pass the ball effectively much of the night I would have expected it's because the O-line couldn't hold up or that the QB was rattled or something like that....     but when you go back and look at most of the passing plays, their CB's did a damned good job matching up with two of the best (if not just outright two best) WR's in CFB.  There was admittedly a lot of jersey grabbing and holding that the refs were allowing, and Marv was bracketed / doubled all night, but if you look at the plays you don't see Harrison and Egbuka etc running free or getting wide open much.  It was excellent overall coverage.

It wasn't until late in the game that we started being able to gash them for some passing plays, and even then it was in pretty tight windows and great catches.

We know Harrison and Egbuka (and the rest of the wr's) are absolutely outstanding, that's not in doubt, so are their CB's that good, or was there something missing from our play designs to scheme our WR's open?
