Just read this in The Toledo Blade, and had to share to get your reaction. I actually found it humorous, even though I'm sure it's not what he intended...and fwiw, getting to, and winning, the NC is numero uno. Period.
Could Ryan Day be on the hot seat after this season with another loss to Michigan?
■ Rowland: Absolutely, and he should be regardless of what his overall record is. Beating Michigan is central to every Ohio State coach’s mission and perhaps the No. 1 objective in every season, even above winning the national championship. The Buckeyes dominated the rivalry to such an extent that losing three straight to Michigan, combined with the Wolverines’ own rise, would be disastrous in Columbus.
Who wins the Heisman Trophy?
■ Rowland: Washington QB Michael Penix Jr.
Which teams will make the playoff, and who wins the title?
■ Rowland: Michigan, Penn State, LSU, USC. Michigan wins the national championship.
