From a talent standpoint, few programs have been able to compete with the Buckeyes over the past 10 years. Urban Meyer and Ryan Day are both elite recruiters, and every unit of their teams are usually stocked with great players.
Needless to say, there are moments where the accumulation of stars in a single position room gets to be flat-out ridiculous.

The 2021 wide receiver core is perhaps the most recent example of this, but different groups from previous years are every bit as menacing. The 2017 quarterback room comes to mind, which featured a first-year Tate Martell sitting fourth on the depth chart behind J.T. Barrett, Dwayne Haskins, and Joe Burrow.
If you’re more of a defensive person, what about the pass rushers on that same 2017 squad? Nick Bosa, Tyquan Lewis, and Sam Hubbard all tallied at least seven sacks, with Jalyn Holmes and a true freshman named Chase Young also wreaking havoc on the outside. Dre’Mont Jones and DaVon Hamilton - who each got paid this offseason - held things down in the middle.
But maybe we’re all overthinking this. The 2014 Ohio State football team had Braxton Miller, Barrett, and Cardale Jones. Any further discussion might be unnecessary.
Buckeye Nation has gotten to enjoy several incredible position rooms since 2013. Which one do you believe was the most loaded?
