As much as we sucked yesterday, we still have a realistic shot at making the playoff with a USC and/or TCU loss. However, I feel like the committee (with the help of the “experts” from ESPN and CBS) will find a way to put Bama at the #5 spot over us this week. The excuse will probably be that we were blown out at home by Michigan (even though it was close until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter), while they will say Bama’s two losses were by a combined four points and they have looked dominant lately (obviously against two terrible teams). This narrative has already happened with the meaningless ESPN power rankings.

We gave up at the end of the game with Stroud’s interception and Michigan’s last touchdown. Which made the score look like a blowout. That may actually cost us a playoff spot.
