A quick question for my friends here who have previously watched Penn State play this season: was their offensive playcalling different for today's game against OSU than in prior games?
I haven't gotten to see any Nittany Lion games this season (two year old at home) and was surprised to see how diverse the playbook was for Penn State. They were lining up in diamond formation, quad receiver sets, and even old school T-formation. They even did some veer and shoot with the outside receivers lined up all the way outside the numbers.
They didn't look like this last year when we played them, even with the same QB and OC. Curious if they've just been super-multiple all year so far or just today to throw the kitchen sink at Jim Knowles.
